Contracts: Resources on Lexis and Westlaw

This guide covers materials available through the Capital Law Library to support first-year study of Contracts.

Introduction

As a Capital University law student, you have access to two enormous and powerful legal research and information databases: Lexis Plus and Westlaw Precision. These two databases are essentially searchable platforms of the collected published legal works of LexisNexis and Thomson Reuters, the two largest legal publishers in America, and are a cornerstone of research-heavy law practice. You will study their use and functionality at great length in LARW, but they bear mentioning here in that since they function as a platform for these companies' law titles, a wide variety of subject-specific treatises, practice guides, and other resources are easily available.

This page compiles some significant Ohio-specific and National resources on Contracts available on Lexis Plus and Westlaw Precision.

Westlaw Precision

This list of material represents National and Ohio materials dealing extensively with Contracts. It is not intended to be exhaustive but rather as a relatively simple collection of materials that collectively are likely to answer any question a law student might have on the subject. All of these materials by typing the exact name into the Westlaw search bar on the main page, and then selecting the title from the drop down menu.
